Les Côtes : exceptional wines & vineyards

Located on the right bank of the Garonne and Gironde rivers, in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, the terroirs of Côtes de Bourg, Blaye, Cadillac, Castillon, Francs, Sainte-Foy and Graves de Vayres form the great family of Côtes de Bordeaux. Come to Bordeaux Fête le Vin, to discover gourmet wines of great refinement, whose foundations are sharing and generosity!

A history of excellence

The majestic vineyards of the Côtes extend along the estuary of the Gironde and Garonne rivers. The region's wine-growing history dates back to antiquity and has survived the centuries to produce wines of exceptional quality. These wines have been tasted and appreciated all over the world, notably by the English in the 18th century, because of their suitability for transport and conservation. This long tradition of wine making led to the official creation of the Côtes de France red and white appellations, testifying to the quality and diversity of the region's wines.

Outstanding sites

A real historical, cultural and natural jewel, the Côtes region offers breathtaking landscapes! Discover heritage treasures such as the majestic Citadelle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the picturesque port of Plassac (which you can visit on wheels, for example). The region, made up of vineyards and wooded valleys, is perfect for recharging your batteries in the middle of nature, while tasting exceptional products, produced with the care of the land and its inhabitants. It is in this soothing setting that visitors are warmly welcomed to discover signature and gourmet wines.

However, the landscapes of the Côtes are not only for the pleasure of the eyes since the work of the vine is done in harmony with the natural elements, the hillsides, the sun and the weather conditions due to the nearby river. Indeed, the rich clay and limestone soils nourish the vines to produce exceptional wines. The winegrowers work independently in the heart of their vineyards, on human-sized plots, maintaining a connection between Man and nature.
