Nouvelle-Aquitaine region's wines
The quays of the Garonne, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site, will once again be hosting a not-to-be-missed event for wine lovers. For this special occasion, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Food Agency is offering a range of services to match this unique event in Europe.
One pavilion for 22 appellations!
Every year, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine pavilion welcomes the region's emblematic PDO appellations:
- Vins de Bergerac (Monbazillac, Montravel, Haut-Montravel, Pécharmant, Rosette, Saussignac, Côtes de Bergerac, Bergerac)
- Côtes de Duras
- Corrèze
- Jurançon
- Tursan
- Côtes du Marmandais
- Madiran
- Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh
But also several PGIs:
- Agenais
- Atlantique
- Béarn
- Charentais
- Landes
Because there's more to our beautiful wine region than just Bordeaux wines! Our pavilion allows you to discover the full diversity of the region, from the Basque country to the gateway to the Loire. Each terroir reflects its landscape, its winemakers, its land and its distinctive wine. With the Tasting Pass, you'll have the chance to explore the authenticity of the wine heritage of the New Aquitaine region!
Tasting workshops at the New Aquitaine Wine Pavilion
Following the success of the tasting workshops held in previous years, the AANA is organising themed tasting workshops on its private terrace: Armagnac-based mixology, Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh wines, IGP Charentais wines, wines from the Vignerons de Tursan, and for the first time, an unusual tasting of wines and insects from New Aquitaine.
We invite you to try your hand at the art of wine tasting and discover the specific characteristics of the different appellations, grape varieties, blends, etc. Each tasting workshop will present several references by theme, for 30 to 45 minutes, with advice from a producer or wine professional.
