Zenobe Gramme

The only sailboat of the Royal Belgian Navy, the Zenobe Gramme is a 28 meter long Ketch with a sail area of 700 m² spread over 7 sails.

Originally built for oceanographic research missions, she is currently used as a sail training ship. 
The ship owes its name to the inventor of the dynamo, the Belgian Zenobe Gramme.
Since 1972, he has participated in the Tall Ships' Race. She won the Cutty Sark Trophy in 1976 and the Sail Training International Ince Trophy in 2003.
