The tasting pass

The Bordeaux Wine Festival and the Tasting Pass go hand in hand; the pass is an indispensable tool, opening the door to the world of Bordeaux and Nouvelle-Aquitaine wines. 

The Tasting Pass includes :

  • 1 tasting glass and its carry case
  • 11 tastings: 1 for each of the 10 stands + 1 “coup de cœur” (“favourite”)
  • 1 tasting workshop at the Bordeaux Wine School stand
  • 1 TBM transport pass (public transport)


  • A copy of the newspaper Sud-Ouest or Sud-Ouest Dimanche that you can pick up at their stand (while stocks last).

  • A copy of the Terre de vins magazine that you can pick up at the Terre de vins/Sud Ouest stand (while stocks last).

  • €5 off a Bordeaux Wine Festival polo-neck or t-shirt at the Bordeaux Tourist Office boutique-stand.

  • Present your pass for free entry to the Musée National des Douanes (usually €3) and two guided tours from Friday to Saturday.

  • Present your pass at La Cité du Vin for 20% off entry to their permanent attraction during the festival. 


  • €16 Pre-sale, from 10th March to 7th June

  • €21 Full price, 8th June onwards

  • €14 Price for partners and civil servants until 22nd May

  • The price includes a €1 deposit for the RFID card, reimbursed on-site during the Bordeaux Wine Festival or at the Bordeaux Tourist Office until 1st July.

Tasting Pass

The Tasting Pass is essential to discover and taste the quality and diversity of Bordeaux and New Aquitaine wines. Take advantage of the exceptional price of €16 from March 10th to June 7th (instead of €21).

Points of sale

  • The Bordeaux Tourist Office welcome desk from Friday 22nd May to Sunday 14th June, 9.30am to 6pm.

  • All FNAC, Carrefour, U, Intermarché and Géant Casino stores with a France Billet ticket sales area. 

Where and when do I pick up my Tasting Pass?

  • Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th June, 9am to 7pm, collect at the Quinconces booth.

  • During the festival: Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st, 10.30am to 10.30pm (until 9.30pm on Sunday), collect at either the Quinconces or Cailhau booth.

  • During the festival: Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st, 11am to 10.30pm (until 9.30pm on Sunday), collect at the Chartrons booth.
