A faithful partner of Bordeaux Fête le Vin, the Nadalié cooperage will display their barrels on the quays and explain the ins and outs of their profession to visitors, accompanied by demonstrations of making and toasting barrels.

Let yourself be guided by the aromas of heated oak emanating from this fascinating demonstration! A skilled cooper will be revealing the meticulous work required to make a barrel, from the ageing of the wood to the “raising of the barrel” or (“mise en rose” in French), and the bending the staves.
A unique opportunity to admire this ancient craft, and see how the barrels are made in which the finest wines in the world are aged.
6 days on the Garonne
For the 20th edition of Bordeaux Fête le Vin, “6 days on the Garonne” and the Nadalié cooperage will be joining forces for an unusual project that combines barrels and river navigation. 50 litre kegs have been specially manufactured by
the Nadalié cooperage, to accompany the boatmen during the popular 6 days on the Garonne event, as they journey up the river to deliver the kegs to the tall ships, on which they will continue their journey across the oceans...
