1 bottle in 6 produced in Bordeaux is a wine of the Côtes

The properties are family owned and open to wine tourism. 7 maisons du vin welcome visitors all year round, and organise special days intended for the general public.
The wines benefit from the particularly generous climate on the hillsides:

– There is about 10 % more sunlight, which gives more fruit in the grapes
– The slopes provide better drainage of the soils in case of rain.

More than 1200 winegrowers produce the wines in our appellations, of which a great many are independent growers, mostly in traditional family-run structures.

They offer mostly red wines, at 97% of production, but also dry and sweet whites.
The dominant grape variety planted is Merlot, which is blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc or Malbec (especially in the north of the Gironde).
The vines are fruity, round and well structured. They can be kept for 3 to 5 years, or even longer for certain wines.
